The Bitter-est Pill

Believe me when I promise you this—
You will arrive at an eye-opening moment,
One of those soul-cracking-open-realization-moments,
you will dance, spinning circles in your living room with arms outstretched,
Creation’s dervish of delight,
when you have everything you’ve ever asked for.
Dream manifested.
Business grown.
Relationship cultivated.
The longed-for-pony, she’s right there! And she’s grazing in your backyard.
How?
When you look back, you see that you won every time you played for the long game,
instead of the short.
Every time you repeated a (seemingly) small action, you learned what Lao Tzu meant—
“Think of the small as large.” (Tao Te Ching)
Every time you repeated a (seemingly) small action, you learned what Patañjali meant—
“Repeat this for a long time, without interruption, and with joy.” (Sutra 1.14).
Today you are living, breathing proof that the (seemingly) smallest actions have the largest impacts on the shape of your life.
There are no shortcuts.
There is no hack.
Do not fall for the trends.
What seems like a bitter pill to swallow at first…reveals itself as the gateway drug to your liberation.
Best to get on with it.
Swallow it.
Your life’s work is waiting.
